Hello everyone,
I am currently a high school student, and i am interested in becoming a surgeon. I know that i must complete some science courses before going into medical school, but i was wondering what courses i should take? And what type of degree do i need?

Some medical schools don’t require students to have a bachelor’s degree, but majority of them do have it before entering. You can major in whatever you want, just so long as you take the required pre-reqs.

As an undergrad, you have to take biology, chemistry, English, humanities courses, etc. You’ll also have to complete the MCAT, a standardized test. Medical school takes about four years to complete, and you’ll recieve the title of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) when you’re finished with program.
