Choosing a College Major to work in Acoustics or Stereo Technology or Sound?

I am at a junior college and i’m trying to decide my major. I’m doing lots of engineering, physics, and math classes. I want to have a job in the future doing something with stereo equipment, possibly designing it. Maybe do something that has to do with acoustics or sounds, like cardioid microphones or anything like that.

Where can I find more information on these subjects?
Does anyone out there do this currently and know what it’s like working with it?
Does it pay well?
What should my major be for that?
