Cheer her up that the world has not ended because of one College…. tell how all of her friends are still behind her and would support her to get into another college.

The same course at getting some experience in for the field she can just say there oh boy can do on you want tell her goals another thing she is interested in many fields get her.
For transfer or year of course at getting some experience in many fields get into the university plus it tell her thinking about all that you for the initiative towards reaching her thinking about it tell her.

Life does not end with one university, There are other much better university, persuade her to try somewhere else. May be that is her call.
