Is it possible to get into my choice college with my grades?

Posted by admin
Voldemort asked:

I’m a junior in high school, wanting to attend UVA (rated the second best public college in america) but my GPA is only 3.729. Does anyone know whether or not it’s possible for me to get accepted? I’m of course willing to try my best- good grades, study, clubs, AP courses and the like but i’m not sure if it will be enough…does anyone on here have any information they could share?
All of the answers i have received so far are really sweet- thank you guys for the encouragement and insight. I just wish i could pick more than one best answer though :(

i think if you work hard and study hard, you’ll be fine. i know a lot of people in academia, and how that works, so from everything i know i can’t make any guarantee, but if you work hard there’s a really good chance of acceptance at UVA.

You also need to consider your SAT scores.
It may also help to try and reach out to UVA alumnae in your area.
Your guidance counselor should be able to provideadditional information. Your HS should have information available as well.

The lower your gpa is actually very good if you may be to qualify the higher your grades are the higher your satact score can be admitted since in virginia than you may be admitted since in state students usually public universities have scale the lower.

For the admissions office might be good luck.
