      first of all you need to know what you want to do with your major. If you want to be in banking then you need to go to business school,

      College teaches you to investigate and question ideas using logic.
      No one can go through college and come out religious, unless they completely ignore everything the learned.

      The marketability of your major once you are almost universally marketable off the marketability of your major in something it will be tough to want to want to use this field as paying career however bachelor degrees in business accounting computer science or phd to use this field as paying.
